What This Page Covers

This is a plain statement of what happens to information when you read this site. There are no accounts here, no logins, no newsletter and nothing to sign up for. The site is a set of static pages about Tokyo museums, and it collects as little as a site like this can collect.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic: which pages are read, roughly where readers come from and how long they stay. GA4 reports are viewed in aggregate. Individual visitors are not identified and no profile of you is built for this site's own purposes.

GA4 receives standard technical data from your browser, including your IP address. Google's IP handling in GA4 means the address is not stored in full and is not available to this site in reports. If you prefer not to be counted at all, blocking Google Analytics in your browser, for example with a consent or privacy extension, removes you from measurement entirely. The site works normally without it.

Affiliate Links And What Happens After You Click One

Some pages link to booking platforms for museum tickets and tours, including GetYourGuide, Viator, Klook and GuruWalk. If you buy through one of those links, the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That relationship is disclosed sitewide in the footer.

Those platforms are separate companies. Once you leave this site by clicking one of those links, their own privacy policies apply and they may set their own cookies for session handling, tracking and advertising. This site has no control over those cookies and no access to the data they collect. If you want to know what a platform stores, read its own privacy policy before booking.

What This Site Itself Stores

Nothing personal. There is no sign-up, no login, no comment form, no newsletter and no account of any kind, so the site never asks for your name, email address or payment details. The pages are static: your browser fetches them, and the server keeps no record that could identify you. The only measurement is the aggregate analytics described above.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data under laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation or similar legislation elsewhere, including the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data held about you, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Because this site holds no personal data about individual readers, there is normally nothing to request from it. Where a right concerns data held by an analytics provider or a booking platform, the request goes to that company, since the data is theirs.
